Mobile Phone WiFi Radiation

The argument that mobile phones are bad for health was maybe due a reprise, so expect at least a round of calls for more research on their impact in the coming days, and possibly for outright bans in some circumstances (like schools).
The renewed concern though is not just about mobile phones. WiFi is now in the frame. The panic button was pressed by an influential European committee that has compared the current situation of mobiles and WiFi to previous experiences of tobacco and asbestos. The committee is a Council of Europe political group that’s been studying low frequency radiation risk. Called The Committee on the Environment, Agriculture and Local and Regional Affairs, its report calling for restrictions on mobile phone and WiFi usage was finalised over a week ago but is only just finding its way into the news media.
The Council of Europe is little known in the USA and is almost as anonymous in Europe. It is unconnected to the European Union, the law making body whose Directives become laws in different European countries. But the Council has influence and it is recommending that European governments take precautionary steps to restrict mobile phone and WiFi usage, particularly among young people, and, in the case of WiFi, in the home.
A draft resolution to go before the full Assembly of the Council says in respect of mobile and WiFi:
“there is still a lack of reaction to known or emerging environmental and health risks and virtually systematic delays…
